At the Narkisim School in Rishon LeZion, various ceiling solutions were integrated, tailored to the specific character of the spaces as well as their acoustic and design requirements. For the school’s corridors and foyers, ECOPET A Tiles (in a “Cinnamon” shade) were selected; these tiles combine decorative texture with acoustic performance, complementing the interior design through their warm hue and distinctive material presence.
ECOPET A Tiles are a type of lay-in ceiling panel made from recycled polyester (PET) fibers, offering design flexibility and suitability for a wide range of spaces. For this project, a version featuring custom decorative grooves was chosen, adding visual depth, a sense of movement, and texture to the ceiling. The Cinnamon shade lends a warm, inviting atmosphere to the transitional areas, transforming the ceiling into a design element that harmonizes with the school’s architectural language. The 60×60 cm tiles are installed on a standard ceiling grid, combining a refined aesthetic with acoustic performance that helps reduce noise and improve sound quality within the space. The use of recycled PET fibers also adds an environmental dimension to the choice of material.
The project demonstrates how ceiling design—through the use of material, color, and texture—can enrich school spaces, blending a unique design language with acoustic solutions suited to an educational environment.
