From Hecht & Ephraim
Is it hot or cold today? This is a question that is asked most of the year in Israel, a small country with very important weather. This is precisely why the weather must be taken into account when planning a building. Choosing the right raw materials is important when the goal is to reduce condensation, protect against wear and tear, improve energy consumption, and enhance the feeling of comfort and quality of life of the building’s users.
Thermal insulation refers to dealing with external weather conditions: temperature, wind, humidity, while acoustic insulation focuses mainly on maintaining privacy and insulating from noise – from the outside to the inside, and from the inside of the building to the outside. The designer must take into account insulation elements that will encompass the entire building envelope: walls, windows, ceiling, floor and roof. Any crack or tear in an element of insulation will be noticeable, so it is crucial to choose high-quality raw materials. The raw materials we offer are different types of mineral glass wool, in a variety of configurations and properties. These are materials that do not emit gases or toxic substances, and that meet all fire safety standards.
Alongside the bare wool that everyone is familiar with, we have:
Wool with aluminum foil that contributes to heat and cold insulation capabilities and creates an effective vapor barrier.
Wool with black fleece – a fleece that contributes to noise insulation and a uniform appearance in places where it is impossible to glue the wool directly.
Wrapped glass wool – the popular product wrapped in PLA nylon, fire-resistant and in demand for noise insulation.
All Hecht & Ephraim mineral wool products are a sustainable, environmentally friendly product, and are approved by the Standards Institute.
Mineral wool is one of the materials recommended by us, but certainly not the only one. The needs of the planner are met in different ways, with different materials, all with the aim of reaching the desired insulation levels. Hecht & Ephraim has the option of incorporating mineral wool into our AQUABOARD TERASUN panels. We would be happy to sit down with you, contractors, architects, designers and acoustic consultants, and understand your needs and insulation requirements in order to tailor the optimal solution within the requested budget.
