Kfar Pines School – Designed by Experience Designers Studio
The Kfar Pines School project designed learning spaces that place the student experience at the center: a contemporary, calm and inspiring educational environment, where acoustics, materials and design work together to create a pleasant, attentive and flexible space for daily use.
The design emphasizes visible acoustic solutions, combining visual softness, safety and design freedom, with the understanding that a quality learning space begins in a quiet and balanced environment.
SOLO Ceiling – Floating Acoustic Elements from ECOPET
In the entrance lobby space, floating elements from the SOLO series from ECOPET were selected – an acoustic PET ceiling with a customized design of white hexagons.
The floating elements create a feeling of lightness and movement above the students’ heads, without overloading the space or requiring complex construction.
The SOLO from ECOPET enables an effective acoustic solution with a clear design presence:
Significant improvement of acoustics and reduction of sound reflections (NRC 0.8), alongside complete freedom of form – adjustment of shapes, sizes and colors according to the nature of the space.
The installation is carried out by direct hanging using a smart system of clips and suspension wires, which creates a “floating” and clean aesthetic with minimal contact with the existing ceiling.
Wall cladding – Composition cladding from AUTEX
To complete the acoustic envelope, Composition panels were chosen – polyester cladding (PET) from AUTEX, made from recycled PET (minimum 80%).
The cladding is safe to use, extremely durable and suitable for educational environments, thanks to the fact that it does not constitute a substrate for dust mites and is resistant to damage.
The boards were chosen in two shades of blue-turquoise and add depth, color and life to the space, along with a significant acoustic contribution (NRC 0.4).
Beyond absorbing noise, the boards also function as display boards – they can be pinned, pinned and scotch-taped – and allow for pedagogical flexibility, branding and a design that changes throughout the year.
